Quentin Scholtz, Senior Pastor

Quentin received his second appointment to Danville Centenary in June 2005.
Quentin and his wife Becky are both Danville natives. The Scholtzs have two
grown children, Adam and Ginny. Quentin served Centenary from 1990-97
and moved here after a three-year appointment in Pikeville. Quentin's favorite
Bible verse is I John 4:19, "We love because he first loved us." Quentin loves to
work on his farm and is passionate about God's work at Centenary and in helping
pastors and orphans in India.
Matthew Atha, Executive Pastor

Matthew began ministry at Centenary in July 2007. He and his wife Monica have
two energetic young boys, Zeke and Zack. The Athas moved here following a seven
year ministry in Harrodsburg. Matthew has also lived and ministered in Indiana, Missouri,
Texas, and England. Matthew's favorite Bible verse is Galatians 5:1, "It is for
freedom that Christ has set us free." Matthew enjoys swimming and weight lifting
and is passionate about helping people grow in the grace of God.
Julie Breitenbach, Director of Youth Ministries

Julie started as youth director at Centenary in July 2007. Julie and her husband, Eric, have two daughters, Erica (25) and Emma (13). Before becoming youth director, Julie served as a youth volunteer for two years and a Sunday School teacher for 10 years. Julie and Eric grew up in southern Ohio, but Danville has been home for the past 20 years. Julie enjoys reading, watching HGTV with her family, gardening, shopping, planning events for the youth and studying the Bible. One of her favorite verses is I Peter 4:9, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." Julie is blessed by the relationships with the wonderful people of Centenary!
Jill Winter, Director of Children’s Ministries

Jill began as the director of Centenary's Kid's Morning Out program in 2003 and assumed the leadership of the children's ministry in February 2007. Jill and her husband, Mark, have two boys, Josh (14) and Nathan (9).
Jill and Mark moved from Jacksonville, Florida to Danville in 2000. Jill grew up in Granite Falls, Minnesota.
Jill enjoys spending time with her family and reading. She is a serious Bible student. Her favorite Bible verse at this time is John 20:31, "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
Karen Baldock Gordon, Executive assistant to the pastors

Karen started as executive assistant to the pastors in April 2008. Karen grew up in Liberty, Kentucky and is married to "Apple." She has three daughters, Mandy, Bridget, and Clarissa, and three step-daughters, LaShauna, Chyvonna, and Brittany. Karen began attending Centenary in 1996 and has served in a variety of ministries, most recently as Sunday School teacher for the kindergarten and first grade class. In her free time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and investing in young lives through the Girl Scouts. Karen's favorite Bible verse is John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He have his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Priscilla has worked at Centenary for six years, beginning in 2003. Priscilla and her husband Melvin have six children: Vellis, John, Chris, Jesse, Paul, and Christa. Her oldest son and daughter-in-law Nicole have one son, Vellis Elijah. Priscilla enjoys reading and playing music. Priscilla's favorite Bible verse is Psalm 37:23:
"If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm."
Shirely Kindel, Bookkeeper

Shirley grew up in Eastern Kentucky and graduated from Berea College with a B.S. in Business Education.
Shirley has two grown children: Lisa and Brian. She also has two grandchildren: Sophie and Morgan.
Shirley began working at Centenary for the first time in 1985. She has held various positions: Executive
assistant to the pastor, program coordinator, and bookkeeper. Shirley also teaches Disciple Bible Study and
a Sunday School class. She enjoys reading and sewing. Shirley's favorite Scripture passage is Psalm 91.
Kaytrina Leathers, Kitchen/Facility Coordinator

Kaytrina grew up in Boyle and Mercer County, Kentucky. She is a widow. Kaytrina has two adult children-
Carl and Kris and three grandchildren- Abigail, Kiersten and Kaylee. Kaytrina has been at Centenary approximately 14 years. She enjoys gardening, reading, and sewing. Kaytrina's favorite Bible verse is
Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Melanie Hauser, Director of Music

Melanie grew up in New Jersey but stopped in Pennsylvania and Oregon before arriving in Danville.
In her free time, Melanie is a full-time chemistry professor at Centre College. Melanie became Director of Music at Centenary in August 2007. Melanie likes to knit and quilt. She has a cat named Sunshine and
her favorite Bible passage is Pslam 41.
