Worship Services
Centenary has three Sunday morning worship services, two of which are traditional in style and presentation. They meet at 8.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. A more contemporary service is offered at 9.45 a.m.
Worship is an important part of our life together. Whether the style of worship is contemporary or traditional, it is our desire to worship God with all of our heart.
Hearing aids are available in the sanctuary for the hearing impaired. All services are wheelchair accessible.
TRADITIONAL WORSHIP SERVICE
Centenary offers two traditional worship services: 8.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. every Sunday morning. The 11.00 a.m. traditional service includes congregational hymns accompanied by a piano and choir, readings from the Bible, liturgical responses, sermon, a children’s moment, and on the first Sunday of each month Holy Communion.
The 8.30 a.m. service offers an abbreviated version of the 11.00 a.m. service format.
The Centenary traditional service incorporates hymns, readings and ceremonial traditions taken from several thousands of years of church worship, weaving this all together to comprise a rich tapestry of worship and praise. From the congregational reading of ancient church creeds, to the singing of the great hymns of the church, traditional worship at Centenary is dedicated to glorifying God and sharing His good news. Please join us in worship, sermon, and song. Childcare is always available.
CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP SERVICE
Centenary celebrates worship with a Contemporary Service each Sunday at 9.45 a.m. This service includes modern worship songs led by our Praise Team, drama, and visual art to speak to the culture of our time.
The Pastors lead us in Scripture and its relevance for our lives. Our Praise Team is comprised of singers, instrumental musicians, audio and visual technicians, all dedicated to making the experience at 9.45 a.m. life-changing. Childcare is provided during the celebration of this service. A children’s Sunday School is also available. Come celebrate with us!
